Fake Detective Story Contest: First Results!

Fake Detective Story Contest: First Results!

As part of the Fake Detective project, we invited Russian-speaking young people from Latvia and Estonia to share their real-life experiences with disinformation, fake news, scams, and misleading content.

We are excited to announce that we have received 7 stories from Latvia and 4 stories from Estonia!

These stories will provide valuable material for discussions with media literacy experts and will inspire the creation of at least three animated cartoons in the Fake Detective series.

The project actively involves the young participants at every stage:

Sharing personal experiences with disinformation;

Providing inspiration for educational animation plots;

Taking part in critical thinking workshops based on the created materials;

And eventually creating their own media and animated content using recorded masterclasses in journalism and animation.

Thank you to everyone who shared their stories! Stay tuned — the next phase of the project will bring even more opportunities to get involved and develop your critical media skills!
