New Submission from Estonia: Svyatoslav’s Animated Short
We are pleased to share that Svyatoslav Lavrov from Estonia has submitted his animated film to our competition. The idea for the film was inspired by how easy it is to encounter photo fakes online. In the story, a girl receives a photo showing children riding an elephant on a playground. She invites her friend to join her, but when they arrive, no one is there. The boy realizes that the photo was fake. Svyatoslav wanted to highlight this issue, as fake images are a common problem on the internet. Having seen many such examples himself, he decided to bring the idea into an animated form. For the production, he followed the animation guidelines available on the FakeDetective website, where he also sourced the music and graphics.
